SERVICES OFFERED

JMS Consultancy will perform on-site and remote-location consultations; coordination and facilitation of Kaizen and Process Mapping events; Management and key staff debriefs; and, where requested, provide needed training, materials and support to enable ongoing success.

New Product Design or Development Teams

Provide facilitation for team cohesion and synergy if stalling becomes a problem; facilitate sessions to help teams with activities to find direction/momentum

Manufacturing Operations Improvements

Typically involves various tools to evaluate business processes, personnel and equipment use, operational flow and value streams; perform analysis and recommend improvement activities based on organizations capabilities and constraints

Business Production Operations

Typically involves various tools to evaluate business processes, personnel and equipment use, operational flow and value streams; perform analysis and recommend improvement activities based on organizations capabilities and constraints

Supply Chain Integration

Evaluate business processes to determine various potential integration points for supply chain entities; provide a cost-benefit analysis of integration to the production process; where needed provide assessment of supplier capabilities, quality and performance for evaluation and consideration

Office Operations Improvements

Typically involves various tools to evaluate business processes, personnel and equipment use, operational flow and value streams; perform analysis and recommend improvement activities based on organizations capabilities and constraints

These events can utilize numerous tools, including:

Designing For Six Sigma
A systematic methodology to manage variation in the product design process so all customer expectations can be met while producing a product at the desired quality level
DMAIC analysis and implementation strategies
Define: Define a Six Sigma project to resolve issues; define customers and needs and boundaries; understand/map the process; identify project support; and, assure resource availability
Measure: Measure performance (or KPIs) of the Six Sigma project (before and after); evaluate Critical-to-Quality and Non-Value Added activities; develop data collection plans and metrics; collect data and assess current state
Analyze: Analyze the current performance in relation to operational goals; identify gaps between current and goal performance (defect opportunities); identify sources of process variation; identify vital process input variables which affect key outputs; prioritize improvement opportunities
Improve: Improve specific processes and management of processes; redesign processes as needed making necessary changes to improve flow and reduce defects
Control: Control inputs via data to a management system; develop a plan and install processes/mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence
Business Production Operations
Walk/observe/map an entire system or subsystem process flow; understand and assure relevance for all of the value-added and non-value added activities related to the operation including flow optimization for movement and warehousing; evaluate improvements based upon organizational capabilities; devise implementation strategy
Value Stream Analysis and Mapping
Walk/observe an entire system or subsystem process flow to capture all of the value-added and non-value added activities within a Production, Design, or Service flow; document the time at each operational step (cycle), movement, wait/queue and inventory
Lean Process evaluation and implementation strategies
Walk/observe and create a process map of an entire system or subsystem process flow, capturing all of the value-added and non-value added activities related to the operation including flow optimization; evaluate Lean improvements based upon organizational capabilities and desired results; devise and coordinate methodology to assure reliable implementation
